Financial Accountant | Leeds | Hybrid | £48,000 - £53,000 + Benefits
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join a growing and ambitious property business that is investing heavily in its finance function. This is a broad and commercially focused role offering exposure well beyond statutory reporting. You'll play a key part in strengthening financial controls, delivering accurate reporting, supporting strategic decision-making, and helping drive continuous improvement across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the financial reporting cycle across a diverse portfolio of entities.
- Deliver high-quality financial information that supports strategic business decisions.
- Drive improvements to financial controls, reporting processes and finance systems.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to provide technical accounting guidance and commercial insight.
- Lead the year-end reporting process, working closely with external auditors and advisors.
- Ensure tax and regulatory obligations are met accurately and efficiently.
- Support investor, lender and Board reporting in a fast-growing business.

Requirements

- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification or industry experience
- Experience within group reporting, financial accounting or audit
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Experience preparing statutory accounts and working with auditors
- A proactive approach and a passion for improving financial processes
- Property, housing, infrastructure or real estate experience would be advantageous, but isn't essential
