Trace are very glad to be partnering with The Royal Albert Hall to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Financial Accountant to join their Finance team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving the financial integrity of a dynamic and fast-paced organisation. Working as part of a close-knit finance team, this is a varied role responsible for various areas of financial reporting, external audit, compliance, tax and treasury.
Key Responsibilities:
- Year-end tasks including support with preparation of the annual accounts for the parent charity and preparation of the annual accounts for our trading subsidiary and subsidiary charity.
- Provide technical accounting guidance across the organisation, including revenue recognition, fund accounting and the impact of VAT and tax rules.
- Prepare rolling cash flow forecasts and provide insight to support strategic decision-making and liquidity management.
- Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets (year-end), deferred income and restricted funds.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of financial systems, processes, and reporting by driving efficiencies and best practice

Key Skills & Qualifications:
- The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 2 years PQE and a strong technical background.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including UK GAAP (FRS 102)
- Experience with Charities SORP and fund accounting would be desirable but not essential
- Proven experience as a financial accountant including experience preparing statutory accounts and involvement in external audits.
