Financial Accountant | Retail | London/New Forest | *Hybrid with 2 visits per month in office | £55,000 - £60,000
A growing retail brand is looking to hire a Financial Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a team going through an impressive period of double-digit growth year on year and are looking to add to their strengths with a technically strong Financial Accountant. This is a great role which will give the opportunity for someone to shape processes and contribute to the growth of a forward-thinking business.
This is a hybrid role requiring two/three days a month in the office in New Forest. Travel costs are covered. The view is to open a shared working location in London later in the year which will require 2 days per week in office.

Key responsibilities:
- Taking ownership of month-end processes including accruals, prepayments, and posting of journals
- Implementing month-end reporting and improving reporting processes
- Ownership and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations for UK ensuring strong control and compliance
- Supporting the Financial Controller with monthly stock reconciliations and identifying process improvements
- Supporting and managing UK and EU VAT compliance including returns
- Working closely with Senior Finance members to improve processes, procedures, automation, and control functions

You will be:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA Qualified
- Ideally with exposure to retail candidates/ a year in industry
- Experience working in both a technical and commercial finance role
- Hands-on and proactive nature
