Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its Finance team on a permanent basis.

The Opportunity

The firm is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its UK Accounting team, reporting to the Finance Manager.

This is a varied role combining core accounting responsibilities with opportunities to improve financial processes, enhance reporting and support strategic finance initiatives across the EMEA region.

  • Producing accurate management reporting and supporting the preparation of quarterly management accounts across multiple entities
  • Taking ownership of month-end and year-end accounting activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Performing balance sheet and profit and loss reconciliations, identifying opportunities to improve controls and streamline processes
  • Preparing monthly journals and supporting routine accounting activities
  • Assisting with statutory audits by preparing financial information and liaising with external auditors
  • Producing regular financial reports and analysis for internal stakeholders
  • Supporting finance transformation projects, including systems and process improvement initiatives
  • Contributing to the enhancement of financial controls and accounting procedures across the business

This Management Accountant position is a full-time permanent role.

Requirements

  • Qualified or part-qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant
  • Previous experience within a management accounting or financial accounting role
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience of balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience using complex accounting systems
