Job Title: Financial Accountant
Function/Department: Finance & BI
Reporting To: Group Financial Controller
Location: Dundalk HQ (on-site)
Roles and Responsibilities:
This is a key role within the Finance team, responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting. The Financial Accountant will take ownership of core month-end processes, balance sheet integrity, and regulatory returns while supporting the wider Finance team.
The successful candidate will join the BOYLE Sports Finance team at a time of positive strategic growth and will become a core part of the Finance team supporting and driving that growth. You will prioritise your own and your team’s workload and tasks to ensure all deadlines are achieved. You will maintain and further develop a Finance Business Partner approach and structure within the wider organisation, supporting all Business Channels with value-add, informative, and insightful information and reports, in a results and profit-driven organisation, that has its values of Dynamic, Fearless, Excellence, and Personal at its core.
Core Role Responsibilities:
- Processing of monthly journals for Retail and Online revenue, salaries, accruals, and prepayments.
- Assist the Finance Managers with producing monthly management accounts for the Retail and Online business that are both accurate and timely, including identification and analysis of material variances to Budget and Prior year.
- Preparation of the quarterly betting duty returns and liaising with Revenue/HMRC where necessary.
- Monthly/Quarterly reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts, including relevant schedules.
- Maintain the fixed asset register for all companies within the BOYLE Sports Group.
- Work closely with various internal departments, e.g., Accounts payable and Treasury to ensure all costs have been recorded correctly.
- Provide insight and analysis for cost optimization initiatives and drive a change culture where appropriate.
- Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and year-end reporting under FRS 102.
- Liaise with external auditors, ensuring audit readiness and timely resolution of queries.

Application must have’s:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA preference).
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar position.
