About the Role
The EMEA Accounting and Reporting Function at TikTok is looking for a highly motivated Financial Accounting Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will lead the accounting and reporting workstream for Global Payments (PIPO) entities and licensed financial entities (e.g., e-money, payment institutions, and related regulated permissions) across EMEA.
The role is critical in ensuring compliance, accurate financial reporting, and readiness of books and records to support internal Group reporting as well as external regulatory submissions.
Responsibilities
- Own financial ledger (GL) accounting and month-end/quarter-end closing for PIPO entities and licensed entities across EMEA.
- Collaborate closely with PIPO Business, Treasury, Tax, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure accurate and compliant accounting treatment of:
- Payment flows
- Safeguarding accounts
- Client money
- Intercompany settlements
- Manage regulatory readiness workstream for newly licensed entities, including:
- Chart of accounts setup
- Opening balance migration
- Alignment of accounting policies
- Design and implementation of internal controls compliant with regulatory requirements
- Prepare and review monthly reconciliations between IFRS and local GAAP for in-scope entities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting packages are provided to Group Finance.
- Support statutory financial statement preparation and manage external auditor engagement to deliver statutory audits within agreed timelines.
- Liaise with external accounting service providers to ensure deliverables are accurate, compliant, and produced on schedule (monthly and quarterly).
- Collaborate with Compliance and Regulatory Reporting teams to support regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., FCA, BaFin, CBI, DFSA, or equivalent), ensuring reliable financial inputs and timely submissions.
- Stay updated on accounting standards (IFRS) and regulatory developments affecting payment institutions and e-money issuers, applying Group accounting policies, standards, procedures, and internal controls across EMEA entities.
- Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis for UK/EU regulators, Group Finance, and senior management.
- Support special projects related to entity set-up, licensing, and accounting integration.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree: BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional Qualification: Fully qualified ACA/ACCA with 5+ years of post-qualification experience.
- Experience: Knowledge of entities going through a regulatory licensing process (EMI, PI, or equivalent).
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency.
- Soft Skills: Strong communicator capable of engaging effectively with cross-functional and regulatory stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience: Widespread with large ERP accounting systems (preference for Oracle and HFM).
- Soft Skills: Self-directed, self-motivated, and highly analytical with a strong ability to work independently and pay attention to detail.
- Environment Fit: Thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Practice Expertise: Exposure to financial services, payments, fintech, or other regulated entities, preferably in audit (in-house experience highly preferred).
- Accounting Knowledge: Current practical and theoretical understanding of IFRS and its impacts on reporting.
- Regulatory Awareness: Familiarity with safeguarding requirements and client money rules as a strong plus.
