About the Role

Shire, a company within the Résilians Group, is seeking a Finance & Accounting Manager to lead and further develop its finance function during an exciting phase of growth and transformation.

Whilst currently operating as a single legal entity, the business is expected to expand its scope and organisational complexity in the coming years. As such, we are looking for a finance professional who combines strong technical expertise with commercial awareness, analytical rigour, leadership capabilities, and the ability to build scalable financial processes and reporting frameworks.

Reporting to senior leadership, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability of financial information, supporting strategic decision-making, and helping shape the future finance organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Compliance

  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all accounting and financial information.
  • Oversee the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and payroll accounting processes.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate the preparation of annual accounts and liaise with external auditors.
  • Maintain a robust internal control environment and ensure compliance with Group policies and procedures.
  • Manage cash flow monitoring and support treasury-related activities.

Financial Reporting & Business Insight

  • Produce reliable and meaningful financial reporting for local management and Group stakeholders.
  • Develop relevant management reporting, KPIs, and financial dashboards.
  • Analyse financial and operational performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Provide clear and actionable insights to support business decisions.
  • Contribute to the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and long-term business plans.
  • Support profitability analysis and performance monitoring across the business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
