Anderson Knight is delighted to be partnering with our client to recruit a Financial Accounting Manager, a key leadership appointment within a complex, multi-entity organisation.

You will lead a team of up to 10 finance professionals, taking ownership of financial accounting, consolidation, governance, and continuous process improvement across multiple legal entities.

You will combine strong technical accounting expertise with proven people management skills, partnering with stakeholders across the business to ensure robust financial control and high-quality reporting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the financial accounting team, developing and mentoring up to 10 team members while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
  • Manage the month-end and quarter-end close process across multiple legal entities and cost centres, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting.
  • Support the preparation of forecasts and financial plans, providing robust analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Play a lead role in the annual external audit process, coordinating audit activities, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of all audit requirements.
  • Prepare and review statutory financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the corporation tax reporting process, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely submissions.
  • Maintain and strengthen the financial control environment, ensuring compliance with internal controls while identifying opportunities to enhance governance and operational efficiency.
  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of group accounting systems, financial processes, and reporting frameworks across the business.
  • Partner with senior operational and commercial stakeholders, providing technical accounting expertise and financial insights to support key business initiatives.
  • Present monthly financial performance updates to senior leadership, highlighting key risks, trends, and opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with Supply Chain and Operational teams to ensure accurate accounting and reporting of inventory and other key business assets.
  • Lead and support cross-functional finance transformation projects, driving automation, process standardisation, and continuous improvement across the finance function.

About You

You will be a fully qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, or CIMA) with strong technical financial accounting experience gained within a large, complex, or multi-entity organisation.

You will also be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing finance teams.
  • Strong knowledge of statutory reporting, financial controls, and external audit.
  • Experience operating within a complex group structure, ideally with multi-entity reporting responsibilities.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for driving process improvement and delivering operational excellence.
  • Experience of ERP systems and finance transformation initiatives would be highly advantageous.
