About the Role
This role encompasses a wide range of financial administrative duties, along with some research and writing tasks. You will form part of the foundation of a larger team, being a mix of paraplanners, technical experts and administrators so the role asks for someone who is a team player, contributor and someone who embodies our “got your back” ethic.
Ideally, we are looking for someone who has some experience in administrative roles, preferably within an Independent Financial Advisers, however not essential. We need someone who is keen to learn and embrace the skills we’re cultivating for this role and full training can be provided for the right candidate.
The role includes:
- Having a keen eye for detail to accurately and efficiently gather and compile client information across a wide range of financial products and policy types, including pensions and investments.
- Prepare high-quality annual review documentation for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Undertake technical research using a variety of industry platforms, systems, and online resources to support client outcomes and adviser requirements.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with providers and advisers, delivering excellent customer service through a range of communication channels.
- Effectively manage a varied workload within a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and achieving performance targets while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records on our specialist project management system, Dextera, ensuring all client and case information is recorded accurately.
- Work collaboratively as part of the Paraplanning and Administration teams, providing support to colleagues when required and contributing to the successful delivery of services across multiple firms.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel, with strong overall IT skills.
- Excellent organisational, case management, and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines within a customer-focused, SLA-driven environment.
- Strong written communication skills, with a good level of numerical competency and confidence in working with calculations, formulae, and data.
- A collaborative and supportive team player who contributes effectively within a team environment while delivering excellent service to internal and external customers.
- Confident communicating with advisers, clients, and product providers over the telephone, delivering a professional and customer-focused service.
Additional desirable attributes are:
- Experience working with pensions and investment products, including ISAs, General Investment Accounts (GIAs), and Bonds.
- A flexible and adaptable approach, with a willingness to contribute new ideas and creative solutions.
- Enthusiastic about helping to shape and develop the role, supporting continuous improvement within Verve and contributing to the wider financial services community.
- Have previously worked for Independent Financial Advisers or in a similar environment.
