Company Description
Accession is a Chartered Financial Planning firm that provides specialist advice to farmers and rural businesses, recognising the unique needs of each client. The team focuses on investment, retirement, tax, estate, and succession planning tailored to rural enterprises and families. Accession is an Appointed Representative of St. James's Place Wealth Management plc, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Operating under the trading name Oundle Wealth Management Ltd, the firm combines professional standards with a personal, client-centered approach.
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role based in Oundle, with flexibility for some work from home. The Financial Adviser will meet with rural business and farming clients to understand their financial goals, assess their current financial position, and develop tailored financial plans.

Daily activities include:

- Providing advice on investments, retirement planning, tax-efficient strategies, estate and succession planning, and broader financial planning needs.
- Preparing and presenting recommendations.
- Maintaining accurate client records.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Staying current with market developments and financial products.
- Collaborating with colleagues to deliver a high standard of client service and contribute to the growth of the practice.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess:
- Strong Financial Planning and Financial Advisory skills, with experience creating tailored strategies for individual and business clients.
- Solid Finance and Investments knowledge, including understanding of risk profiles, portfolio construction, and investment products.
- Expertise in Retirement Planning, including pensions, long-term savings solutions, and retirement income strategies.
- The ability to advise on tax, estate, and succession planning within a regulated environment (experience with rural or agricultural clients is beneficial).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build long-term client relationships and explain complex information clearly.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, along with attention to detail and sound judgment.
- Relevant professional qualifications in financial advice or planning (e.g., Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent); Chartered or working towards Chartered status is an advantage.
- A commitment to regulatory compliance, ethical conduct, and continuous professional development.
