Financial Adviser

Financial Adviser – Octopus Legacy

About the Role

Octopus Legacy is one of the UK’s fastest-growing startups, revolutionising how over 1 million people plan for and navigate death. Founded after Sam lost his mum unexpectedly, the team created a service that blends estate planning, bereavement support, and purposeful legacies—like voice notes, music, and recipes—in a way no one else in the market has.

We aren’t competing—we’re redefining financial legacy services. Backed by Octopus Group, we’re uniquely positioned to scale across UK financial services at speed. This role will drive that growth at its heart.

The Role

As a Financial Adviser at Octopus Legacy, you’ll lead one of our most dynamic growth initiatives: delivering holistic, client-centric financial planning and advice. You’ll build your own client base from day one, leveraging warm leads from:

  • Our will-writing platform
  • Partnerships with over 100 UK charities
  • Our Octopus Group network

This is never cold-calling—it’s a chance to establish a meaningful, long-term advisory practice in a high-growth environment with significant autonomy.

You’ll collaborate with broader financial services teams but maintain control over how you build relationships, deliver advice, and shape client journeys.

What You’ll Do

Client Acquisition & Book Building

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand your client base.
  • Convert warm leads (from will-writing, charity partnerships, and Octopus Group) into long-term relationships.
  • Develop and maintain a strong prospect pipeline, tracking progress through our CRM.
  • Grow a referral network as your client base evolves.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
