Financial Advisor
- Location: Field-based with travel to Peterborough, Spalding, East Cambridge, Fenland, Diss, Bury St Edmunds
- Contract Type: Homeworking with up to 4 days travel/week to NFU Mutual Agencies and customers
About the Role
At NFU Mutual, you’ll help shape our future as a Financial Advisor, guiding customers with comprehensive advice on:
- Life insurance
- Pensions
- Investments
- Wealth management
- Inheritance tax planning
As one of 1–3 advisers within an East Anglia NFU Mutual Agency, you’ll manage a full client diary averaging 2,500 customers, supported by the agency team. With ambitions limited only by your drive, every conversation helps protect customers, families, and businesses—ownership and commitment are the heartbeat of what we do.

What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain trusting relationships with small investors to high-net-worth clients—from warm leads to long-term partnerships.
- Offer holistic financial solutions across life protection, pensions, investments, ensuring clients are prepared for every stage of life.
- Operate traditionally but with confidence: getting to know individual customers—their goals, risks, and aspirations—to tailor advice that truly protects them.

About You
We’re looking for motivated, standards-driven professionals who thrive in client-facing roles and want to deliver exceptional financial outcomes.
Key Requirements:
✅ Qualifications & Experience:
- Full Chartered Financial Planner (FPC) qualification (or equivalent) plus:
- Certified Associate in Financial Planning (CAS)
- QCA Level 4 qualification (e.g., CII Diploma in Financial Planning)
- Regulated face-to-face advice experience in the UK financial sector
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations (e.g., FCA frameworks, compliance)
- Familiarity with end-to-end sales processes, particularly working with introducers
✅ Additional Assets:
- Awareness of UK financial services trends and innovative solutions
Certification Requirements
This role is regulator-certified under the following classifications:
Client Dealing ( sophist.CF30/wearingHatCF30) – advising on investments and related functions.
