An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Planner to join a highly successful and growing financial services organisation with an established presence across Cambridgeshire.
This is a rare opportunity to inherit a consistent flow of warm introductions whilst building a high-quality client bank through strong relationships with an established network of local offices and their loyal customer base. Working closely with one to three local offices, you'll receive a regular stream of pre-qualified client introductions, allowing you to build a sustainable and highly valuable portfolio over time.
The role will involve:
- Delivering holistic financial planning advice across pensions, investments, protection and estate planning.
- Managing and developing your own client portfolio.
- Building long-term relationships with clients and introducers.
- Meeting clients face-to-face across the Cambridgeshire region.
- Attending local networking events and community functions.
- Working alongside dedicated paraplanning and administrative support, allowing you to focus on advice and client service.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
