Job Purpose
The role is to support the Amazon Web Services (AWS) division in providing adequate analysis and be the central Business Partner for profitability expansion and projects related to the wider commercial team and finance.
Builds and develops relationships with the Top Management team to ensure a strong connection between financial needs and business strategy within HQ area of responsibility.
Advises partners within the organization and business leaders, by providing information to maximize the Company’s results and optimize effectiveness of the budget.
Leads European AWS projects with financial scope.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and publishing timely results, including Quarterly Business Review deck both internal and with our vendors.
- Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and forecasts for the business division.
- Partnering with business leaders to identify action plans for continuous improvement of margins.
- Assist the HR & FIN community to ensure the respect of the HC and payroll guidelines, including vendor funded HC.
- Supporting vendor teams in getting senior leadership approval for new initiatives by preparing financial models, executives presentations and responding to requests timely.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- 3-5 years experience in finance / controlling role of international company.
- Qualified/Part-qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Industry sector experience, preferable in FP&A or in another Business Partner role.
- Analytical, able to focus complex numbers into a meaningful analysis, ability to deal with highly confidential information and prioritize appropriately.
- Deadline-Oriented, able to work well under pressure, has a strong sense of urgency / prioritization.
- Strong people skills, willing to speak up and be heard by senior management, along with ability to communicate insight coherently.
