About The Role

The Collateral Administration Officer is a vital part of the team responsible for managing private fund financing deals. This role involves overseeing daily operations related to cash flow reconciliation, collateral management, and deal compliance, ensuring that all activities are executed accurately and efficiently. The successful candidate will work closely with various internal teams and external stakeholders such as trustees, agent banks, and asset services to facilitate smooth deal execution and ongoing management. The role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals seeking to deepen their expertise in fund finance, structured finance, and collateral management within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. Candidates with 1 to 3 years of experience in fund financing, CLO administration, structured finance, or similar roles are preferred. Strong analytical skills are essential, particularly in cash flow and position reconciliation, along with proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas and model interpretation. Knowledge of fund financing deal structures, such as facility agreements, agency agreements, and collateral administration agreements, is highly desirable. Additionally, experience with debt portfolio management or related financial roles will be considered an asset. Support for professional certifications such as ACCA and a willingness to pursue further professional development is also valued.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and overseeing a portfolio of private fund financing deals
  • Performing daily cash flow and asset position reconciliations
  • Verifying the accuracy of principal and interest payments ahead of reporting deadlines
  • Liaising with various teams—Loan Administration, Asset Services, Trade Settlement, Trustees, and Agent Banks—to facilitate trade settlements, interest payments, paydowns, fees, and other related transactions
  • Conducting financial tests such as coverage and collateral quality assessments
  • Maintaining accurate deal models
  • Supporting reporting processes
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly reports for clients, ensuring data integrity and timely delivery
  • Supporting investment managers by running hypothetical scenarios for new advances or asset acquisitions, aiding strategic decision-making
  • Overseeing payments, foreign exchange transactions, and assisting with onboarding new deals by setting up assets in systems like Solvas and updating global asset data to ensure the portfolio is current at deal closing
