About NextStep

NextStep connects top consulting talent with high-potential opportunities through smart, AI-powered matching. We partner with ambitious companies across sectors to place experienced professionals in roles where they can have a real impact. On behalf of a client in our partner network, we are currently looking for a Financial Analyst to join their team.

About The Company

Our client is a PE-backed infrastructure investment and asset management business headquartered in London, with a portfolio of operational assets across renewable energy, transport, and utilities in the UK and Europe. Managing over £3bn in assets under management, the business is growing its Finance function to support an active acquisition pipeline and upcoming fundraise. The CFO is looking for a high-calibre analyst to join a lean, high-performing team.

The Role

As a Financial Analyst, you will support the Finance team across financial modelling, reporting, and transaction analysis. You will work closely with the CFO, FP&A lead, and deal team, producing the rigorous analysis that informs investment decisions, board presentations, and lender negotiations. This is a role for someone who wants to develop deep financial expertise in a substantive, asset-rich business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
