Are you an analytical, curious and commercially minded finance professional looking to build your career in a supportive, ambitious and fast-moving environment? At Target Group, we're looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Finance team and play a key role in month-end reporting, forecasting, budgeting and revenue analysis.

The role

As a Financial Analyst, you'll be part of the Finance support team, helping to produce month-end materials and supporting our forecasting and budgeting processes. Your initial focus will be on revenue generation, including completing key revenue processes, identifying areas for improvement and providing insight to business partners and senior stakeholders.

This role is designed to grow with you. Whether you are qualified, newly qualified, part-qualified or looking to begin a professional accountancy qualification, we can support your development. For candidates studying towards a qualification, the role may form part of a Training Contract, supported by colleagues in Finance and our Learning and Development team.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Preparing month-end materials including work in progress, unbilled revenue and revenue accruals
  • Completing key month-end processes relating to the recording of revenue
  • Working with Accounts Receivable teams to deliver accurate month-end actuals performance
  • Providing modelling and analysis on revenue forecasts, feeding insight into Finance Business Partners and the Head of Commercial Finance
  • Supporting key reporting and forecasting of revenue performance
  • Completing project reporting for revenue recognition to ensure revenue is recorded correctly and compliantly
  • Working with the FP&A team on budgeting, forecasting and monthly variance analysis
  • Ensuring financial models continue to meet the needs of stakeholders including ExCo, the Board, Finance, Operations, Change and Programme Delivery teams
  • Developing and adhering to standardised techniques, assumptions and operating metrics agreed with the wider business
  • Supporting commercially sustainable processes and procedures for new initiatives and areas launched

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
