Summary of the role
Joining the Business Intelligence team, this is an entry level role, you will be responsible for providing financial, accounting, and data-driven insights to the (re)insurance industry and supporting strategic client projects directly. Your work will be integral to helping grow Howden Re's client base through innovative data and technology.
You will be integral in producing client work, presentations for key stakeholders and contribute towards key decision making to support Howden Re's growing and innovate Business Intelligence team. To be successful, you will need to be articulate, have confidence in dealing with financial performance analysis and utilising data to support strategic decisions with Howden Re's clients.

What will you be doing?
- Provide a range of financial and accounting analysis, benchmarking and insights to stakeholders of the industry
- Support client engagement and development of strategic objectives and execute on deliverables
- Deliver financial and strategic reports and discover new opportunities for insights
- Act as a key contact with senior level stakeholders internally to ensure financial insights are delivered
- Analyse, interpret and visualise data to deliver insights and solutions to our clients
- Explore competitive market strategies through analysis of a related product and market trends
- Confidently present findings
What are the requirements of the role?
- Proactive in learning, understanding drivers and think innovatively to develop client solutions
- An engaging and inquisitive personality, always looking to solve problems and find solutions
- Business acumen and intellectual curiosity
- Experience in building presentations and analysing data in Microsoft Office and Power BI (preferable)
- Knowledge of financial analysis is imperative
- Confidence to work with senior stakeholders and present solutions to facilitate opportunities
- Finely-tuned data skills and an awareness of data quality, data integrity checking and reconciliation
- Ability to absorb information and proactively take initiative to problem solving
- Superb attention to detail as well as strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organised self-starter, with drive and dedication
- Good team player willing to collaborate and share ideas within the team
Highly Desirable
- Experience within the (re)insurance industry
- Strong financial/accounting background.
- Understanding of specific accounting standards, such as IFRS 17.
