Financial Analyst, EU Other Hardlines Finance
Hardlines Finance Analyst – Amazon EU SARL (UK Branch)
At Amazon, Finance is not just about the numbers. We are trusted advisors who help take the best possible commercial and operational decisions so that Amazon continues to grow whilst remaining the Earth's most customer-centric company. We dive deep to develop innovative solutions and don't shy away from challenging the status quo.
About the Role
The Hardlines Finance Analyst is responsible for the full P&L of a product line (GL) and will guide strategic decision-making. You will partner closely with the Retail team, Finance, and other business groups to support and monitor the strategical, financial, and operational plans of the consumer business. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to provide analytical support for executive decision-making based on quantitative analyses and manage projects with multiple stakeholders.
At Amazon, we believe that in-person collaboration is essential to our culture and innovation. While we allow flexibility for personal circumstances, we generally expect employees to work from our offices five days a week. This approach has consistently shown that spontaneous interactions, rapid problem-solving, and the energy of in-person teamwork lead to better results for our customers. In particular, our data shows that teams working together in person are more effective at:
- Making complex decisions
- Onboarding new team members
- Fostering creative collaboration
The serendipitous hallway conversations and impromptu whiteboarding sessions that happen naturally in an office environment have proven invaluable to our invention process and maintaining our high bar for excellence.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
