Financial Analyst - Internally this role is called National Support Manager

Contract Type: Permanent Working Pattern: Full time Location: Based Bristol Hours per week: 37.5

Salary: £43,562 - £48,000

About The Role

What will I be doing?

Responsibilities

As National Support Manager for EfW, you’ll lead and coordinate the EfW Financial Analysts (EFAs) across our UK sites, driving consistency, best practice, and operational improvements. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and standardising financial tasks and procedures nationally.
  • Auditing compliance and supporting lean and best practice initiatives.
  • Leading the EFA network and promoting knowledge-sharing.
  • Identifying and delivering cost-saving efficiencies through data trends.
  • Managing training needs and supporting performance reviews.
  • Acting as key liaison with internal stakeholders including procurement and finance.
  • Supporting national projects and the annual budget-setting process.
  • Providing interim cover and assistance during extended absences.

What are the requirements?

  • Demonstrable experience in financial operations, cost control or planning.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools; experience with Power BI is a plus.
  • Ability to lead and influence teams across multiple locations and levels.
  • Organised, methodical, and proactive with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience working with budgets, financial reporting, and performance analysis.
  • Understanding of financial governance and compliance procedures.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English are essential.
  • Financial qualifications are desirable but not essential, but there is an expectation that you will gain financial qualifications with our support.
