Financial Arabic Translator

Arabic Translator – In-House Translation Team

The Opportunity

As part of the firm’s in-house translation team, the Arabic Translator will provide translation services to internal clients across Sales, Service, Research, Content, Marketing, Legal and Compliance, and other groups.

You will:

  • Translate, edit, and proofread content in Modern Standard Arabic (MSA)
  • Report directly to the Translation Team Leader

The Day-to-Day

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal clients to facilitate all translation-related requests
  • Execute tone and language style guides consistently
  • Partner with translation vendors to provide feedback and coordinate production
  • Localise various content types: financial, marketing, legal, and/or educational materials
  • Translate content from English to Modern Standard Arabic while maintaining the house tone of voice
  • Demonstrate depth in Arabic language proficiency and translation tools
  • excel in quality management and proofreading
  • Translate capital markets content, including:
    • Educational brochures
    • Articles
    • Marketing ads
    • Presentations
    • Newsletters
    • Client-facing content
  • Ensure materials are localised for targeted markets
  • Manage ad-hoc projects from start to finish as directed by management

Your Qualifications

Essential:

  • BA/BS in Translation, Linguistics, Arabic language, or equivalent practical experience
  • Native proficiency in Arabic, with the ability to produce content in Modern Standard Arabic (MSA)
  • 3+ years of experience in financial translation (capital markets preferred)
  • Sound knowledge of Arabic culture and financial messaging
  • Fluency in English (writing and speaking)
  • Strong finance/investment industry knowledge

Advantageous:

  • Fluency in an additional European or Asian language (Danish, Dutch, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Cantonese, Norwegian, Spanish, or Swedish)
  • Experience with CAT tools (e.g., memoQ, Trados, Wordfast)

Soft Skills & Collaboration:

  • Ability to effective behaviour across all seniority levels
