Finance Assistant | 12-Month Maternity Cover
We are collaborating with a trusted, privately owned management business to recruit a Finance Assistant to join its finance team on a 12-month maternity cover.
This role offers a hands-on, transactional opportunity within a supportive finance environment—ideal for professionals with experience in bookkeeping or accounts administration, seeking a structured and stable position.
Key Responsibilities
Transactional Finance & Processing
- Processing and posting purchase invoices
- Reconciling bank accounts
- Posting sales ledger cash accurately and promptly
- Processing and reconciling credit card statements and employee expenses

Accounts Administration
- Distributing purchase invoices to relevant teams and tracking approvals
- Managing incoming post and supporting general finance administration
- Filing and scanning financial documents, maintaining accurate records
Month-End Support
- Assisting with month-end processes and basic reconciliations
- Supporting the wider finance team in maintaining accurate records
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in bookkeeping, finance assistant, or transactional finance
- Comfortable processing large volumes of invoices, expenses, and reconciliations
- Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach
- Highly organised, capable of efficiently managing routine tasks
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team
- Basic to intermediate Excel skills, with experience using finance systems (e.g., Sage)
