Finance Assistant (part-time)
Salary: £16,800 (£28,000 FTE)
Location: London
About the Role
This is a great opportunity to join a growing, ambitious agency in a role that genuinely underpins the success of our business. As Finance Assistant, you'll be key to keeping our finance function running smoothly, making sure we get paid, can pay others, and always have accurate financial information to support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day finance administration.
- Raise invoices for completed and ongoing work.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable accurately and on time.
- Approve and reconcile purchase orders (POs).
- Respond to invoice queries and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Complete bank reconciliations.
- Record and reconcile company credit card transactions and employee expenses.
- Maintain accurate financial records using Xero.
- Assist with monthly financial reports and management accounts.
- Support VAT return preparation and audit activities.
- Handle financial, payroll, and client information confidentially and in line with data protection requirements.

Skills & Experience
- Experience as a Finance Administrator, Finance Assistant, or in a similar bookkeeping role.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and finance administration.
- Proficient in Xero (essential).
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
- Experience with QuickBooks (desirable).
- Comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and AI features within finance software (e.g. Dext, Xero).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
