Hays Finance are delighted to be supporting a growing and highly regarded business in Wolverhampton in the recruitment of a Financial Assistant Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA professional who is looking for a varied, hands-on role within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Your new role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified accountant to join a growing and dynamic business based in Wolverhampton. This is a diverse, hands-on role within a small finance team, offering exposure across finance, payroll, HR support and wider business operations. The successful candidate will be a proactive and adaptable finance professional who enjoys working across multiple areas of a business. This is not a role for someone looking to specialise in a single area. They are looking for a true all-rounder who can roll up their sleeves and support a variety of accounting and business functions.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered, you must be:

  • Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Previous experience within an all-round accounting position
  • Comfortable supporting audits and year-end accounting processes
  • Experienced in management accounts preparation
  • Knowledgeable in VAT, accruals and prepayments
  • Experience of payroll and HR-related administration is highly desirable.
  • Strong systems and reconciliation skills
  • Proactive, organised and able to work independently.
  • Strong communicator who enjoys working within a small team environment
