Financial Assistant

Company Description

Diamond Trucks, part of the Setanta Group (Dublin), has operated since 2015 as an authorized Renault Trucks dealer, serving customers across Ireland and the UK. The company runs a custom-built facility on the outskirts of Belfast, offering easy access to major road routes throughout Northern Ireland and providing quality vehicles and customer-focused service at cost-effective prices. Diamond Trucks is one of nine authorized Renault Truck dealers in Ireland, supported by Renault Trucks to deliver reliable commercial transport solutions. In late 2022, the company opened its first UK dealership on Howley Lane in Warrington, expanding service coverage across the North West region.

Role Description

The Financial Assistant role is a full-time, on-site position based at the Warrington dealership. The Financial Assistant will support daily financial operations, including processing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with accounts payable and receivable. This role involves preparing basic financial reports, reconciling accounts, and helping ensure compliance with internal financial procedures. The Financial Assistant will collaborate with the wider dealership team, respond to finance-related queries, and contribute to efficient, timely financial workflows that support sales and service activities.

  • Candidates should possess strong Finance and Accounting skills, including familiarity with bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and basic financial reporting.
  • Candidates should possess solid Invoicing skills, including processing, tracking, and verifying invoices and related documentation.
  • Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify discrepancies, and support decision-making.
  • Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
  • Relevant experience in a finance or accounts assistant role, ideally within an automotive, transport, or dealership environment.
  • Proficiency in common accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel and Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Vocational training or a qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred.
