We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join a small finance team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. We are a hardware technology startup based in London. This role can be based onsite or remotely. Please note applicants must be based in the UK and must have valid right to work in the UK.

This is a part-time role, 20 hours per week, with a preferred pattern of 4 hours per day. There is flexibility on how those hours are arranged.

What you'll do

  • All accounts payable tasks, including invoice coding, preparing weekly payment runs and resolving queries
  • Complete daily bank reconciliations using Xero
  • Monitor bank accounts and prepare transfers to keep operational accounts sufficiently funded
  • Send a weekly cash status report to senior management
  • Assist with month-end tasks including accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations

Experience:

  • Experience as an accounts assistant, accounts payable assistant or cash management assistant
  • Experience using Xero
  • Nice to have: AAT qualified, or studying

Salary

  • £35,000 per annum (pro rata), 6-month FTC, 20 hours per week.
