Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Assistant to join a growing insurance company. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin or develop a career within finance in a professional services environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance team, supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business. The role will involve maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with reporting, processing transactions, and ensuring the smooth running of financial administration processes.


What You'll Be Doing

Learning the Fundamentals of Finance

  • Helping to keep company financial records accurate and up to date.
  • Processing payments and assisting with day-to-day financial administration.
  • Supporting the team with tracking money coming in and out of the business.
  • Learning how financial systems and processes work within a professional insurance company.

Working with Data & Reports

  • Using Excel and other systems to manage and analyse data.
  • Helping prepare monthly reports for senior management.
  • Identifying and checking any errors or missing information.
  • Developing valuable analytical and problem-solving skills.

Supporting the Finance Team

  • Working closely with experienced finance professionals and learning from them.
  • Assisting with projects and business initiatives across the department.
  • Communicating with colleagues across different teams to help resolve queries.
  • Taking on increasing responsibility as your knowledge and confidence grow.

Education Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 A-Levels (or equivalent qualifications).
  • Strong academic performance, particularly in Mathematics, Accounting, Economics, or Business Studies, is advantageous.

Experience Requirements

  • Previous experience within an office, finance, accounting, or administrative environment is beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Comfortable working with numerical data and financial information.
