The Role
Reporting to the Finance Controller, you'll play a key role in supporting the finance function across a broad range of transactional and management accounting activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of weekly and monthly management accounts and reporting.
- Manage the sales ledger and credit control process.
- Complete daily bank receipt postings and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
- Post journals accurately and in a timely manner.
- Support the preparation of quarterly VAT returns.
- Assist with internal and external audits as required.
- Provide support on finance projects and other ad hoc tasks.
- Support payroll activities where required (payroll experience is advantageous but not essential).

About You
We're looking for someone who is organised, detail-oriented and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or similar finance role.
- An AAT qualification (or be working towards one).
- Strong Excel skills and confidence using accounting software.
- A good understanding of accounting principles.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Confident communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships across the business.
