Financial Control Lead
Chief Financial Associate – Financial Control & Scalable Processes (Hybrid, London-Based)
🚀 Orbital Copilot: Redefining Commercial Real Estate Law
We’re on a mission to make real estate transactions smarter, faster, and friction-free. The world’s largest asset class—real estate—remains hindered by slow, manual, and outdated legal processes.
Orbital Copilot is the AI assistant built exclusively for commercial real estate law, developed by former real estate lawyers. We have just raised a $60 million Series B to accelerate our UK/US expansion and are trusted by leading firms like Goodwin and BCLP.
Joining Orbital means reimagining how real estate transactions are done. Our team moves fast, collaborates aggressively, and empowers people to create impact from day one.
⚡ The Role: Establish Scalable Financial Controls & Processes
This is a hands-on, build-first role to establish robust financial controls and scalable processes for our expanding UK and US growth. Positioned within a high-growth, cross-border SaaS business, your core focus will be on group reporting, compliance, and audit cycles, with emphasis on building scalable architecture rather than maintaining existing infrastructure.
This London-based, hybrid role requires close collaboration with the core finance team, reporting directly to the Finance Director.
📊 What You’ll Own
đź’° Financial Control & Technical Accounting
Define, document, and implement accounting policies under UK GAAP (FRS 102), including:
- Revenue recognition for SaaS contracts
- Cost recognition across products and services
- Secondary alignment with US GAAP where needed
You will:
- Design and embed a rigorous internal control environment
- Standardise cost accounting procedures and reconciliation workflows to improve efficiency
- Optimise and enforce an airtight B2B order-to-cash system (quote → billing → cash collection/reconciliation)

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
