Our client, a leading Global Hedge Fund, are looking for a Financial Controller- Manager with previous experience working in a similar role at a top tier Financial Services or competitor Hedge Fund with prior experience managing a team of Qualified Accountants, to join their Finance function in London.
On top of managing the team, the role will be wide reaching and covers all elements of Financial Control & Reporting running various Entities in different jurisdictions. This is a broad Financial Reporting specialist role which includes;

- People Management
- Financial Reporting & Control under IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP + local GAAP
- Partner with Finance and Engineering teams to design and implement automation solutions.
- Lead transformation efforts focused on operating model redesign, automation, and enterprise scalability.
- Accounting for Financial Instruments
- Assist in regulatory filings across the EMEA regulated jurisdictions
- Dealing with the Auditors
- Managing the month-end process
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant – ideally ACA or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a Senior Financial Reporting or Financial Control role in a top tier Financial Services institution
- Previous direct team management experience
- Previous exposure to Financial Instruments or Securities experience would be advantageous
- Strong Excel & Automation skills
- Experience of reporting under IFRS, US GAAP & UK GAAP
