Our client is a well-established UK-based media company with a collaborative, inclusive, and people-focused culture. They are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their finance team and play a key role in supporting the business's continued growth.
Role
Reporting to the Finance Director, the Financial Controller will lead the day-to-day finance operations of the business, ensuring accurate financial reporting and delivering insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making. Managing a team of 2, you will take ownership of the month-end management accounts, budgeting and forecasting processes, financial analysis, VAT returns, and the annual audit. You will also play a key role in driving process improvements, strengthening financial controls, and partnering with stakeholders across the business to enhance commercial performance and support continued growth.

Profile
The successful candidate will be ACA/ACCA qualified, with an audit-trained background and a couple of years' post-qualification experience gained within industry. You will have strong analytical and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, high-quality work. You will be a confident communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels and translating complex financial information into clear, practical insights. A proactive mindset, commercial awareness, and a passion for driving continuous process improvements will be key to success in this role. This position is based in Central London and offers a hybrid working model, with three days per week in the office.
