About the Company
Komodo is a fast-growing global digital marketing agency with offices in London, LA, and Sydney. We're professionalising our finance function and looking for a Financial Controller to own its technical and commercial integrity — working alongside the CFO in London and leading our South Africa finance team.

The Financial Controller will lead the finance function, ensuring its technical and commercial integrity while managing a 3-person finance team in South Africa.

- Lead month-end close and consolidated reporting for UK, US, and AU
- Own revenue recognition (WIP, accrued income, deferred revenue) and balance sheet reconciliations
- Build an audit-ready reporting environment — zero adjustments at external review
- Report on project and client margins, working with the Operations Manager to flag erosion early
- Manage and develop our 3-person South Africa finance team across time zones
- Oversee tax, treasury, and multi-currency cash flow across three jurisdictions

Qualifications
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
- 4+ years PQE
Required Skills
- Agency or professional services background with project-based revenue recognition experience
- Comfortable with automation and tech-enabled finance (we use Xero)
- Multi-entity consolidation experience across jurisdictions and currencies
- Track record leading a distributed team across time zones
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a fast-paced digital marketing environment
