Financial Controller
UK Manufacturing SME | UK & US Markets
A sharp, hands-on finance leader to run the entire finance function and act as the CEO’s commercial partner.
The business is a fast-growing UK manufacturing SME with operations in both the UK and US, and they're on the lookout looking for an experienced Financial Controller to take full ownership of our finance function. Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll shape financial strategy, strengthen controls, and drive commercial performance across the group.
This is a broad, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys getting into the detail while influencing senior leaders and supporting international growth.

What You’ll Lead
- Monthly reporting and insightful board packs
- Budgets, forecasts and long-term modelling
- Commercial analysis to improve revenue, margin and cost control
- UK & US consolidation and cross-border compliance
- Financial controls, governance and tax integrity
- Stakeholder relationships with auditors, banks and advisers
- Process improvements and efficiency initiatives
- Transaction readiness for future investment or M&A activity
- Managing & Mentoring A Team

Requirements
The Ideal Person:
- A qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with strong Financial Controller or Head of Finance experience in a growing SME.
- Manufacturing or international exposure is highly desirable.
- You’ll be commercially minded, confident, challenging senior leaders, and comfortable balancing detailed financial control with strategic decision-making. Experience with US entities, consolidation, M&A or due diligence is a real advantage.
