Financial Controller
Financial Controller (Core Restaurant Brand) – Hospitality Group
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Financial Controller to take ownership of the finance function for one of our core restaurant brands within a growing hospitality group.
This is a key leadership role within a fast-paced, multi-site hospitality environment. The Financial Controller will be responsible for ensuring robust financial reporting, strong controls, and high-quality commercial insight for the brand, while partnering closely with operational and senior leadership teams.
As the business continues to grow and evolve, this role may also gain exposure to additional brands and broader group initiatives over time.
Responsibilities
1. Financial Reporting & Month-End Close
- Own the end-to-end month-end close process for the brand
- Deliver accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
- Produce high-quality management accounts with performance commentary
- Ensure integrity and consistency of financial data
2. Budgeting, Forecasting & Performance Management
- Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles for the brand
- Partner with operations to ensure realistic, commercially grounded financial plans
- Analyse performance against budgets, forecasts, and prior-year results
- Provide insight into key drivers of revenue, cost, and profitability

3. Financial Control & Process Improvement
- Maintain strong internal controls across all financial processes
- Improve and standardise finance processes within the brand
- Enhance reporting tools, templates, and month-end efficiency
- Support continuous improvement in financial operations and systems
4. Business Partnering
- Act as the key finance partner to the Brand MD and operational team
- Provide clear, actionable financial insights for decision-making
- Drive accountability and ownership of financial performance
- Communicate financial results in a simple and impactful way
5. Audit, Compliance & Tax
- Support annual audit and statutory reporting requirements
- Liaise with external advisors as required
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and policies
6. Team & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with wider finance and operational teams across the group
- Build strong working relationships across all functions
- Contribute to a positive, high-performance finance culture

Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
- 4–7 years post-qualified experience (or strong equivalent in finance leadership)
- Experience in financial reporting, management accounting, or financial control roles
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving business environment
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Multi-site or hospitality/consumer-facing environment experience preferred (not essential)
- ERP systems experience (e.g. NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) – advantageous
