Reporting to the Managing Director

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Financial Controller will act as a key business partner to senior leadership, providing financial insight, cashflow control, and commercial support to help maximise profitability and support sustainable growth.

Client Details

Excited to be partnering with an established business based in North Kent who are seeking a Qualified Financial Controller to join them on a full time and permanent basis. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Financial Controller will act as a key business partner to senior leadership, providing financial insight, cashflow control, and commercial support to help maximise profitability and support sustainable growth.

Please note, initial training will be completed in the London office.

Description

Financial Controller duties include;

  • Oversee all day-to-day financial operations, including the preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Coordinate, analyse and report financial performance to Management and Board of Directors.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of best financial controls, processes, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with department heads to embed financial insights into strategic and operational decisions, acting as a trusted finance partner across all business areas to support growth objectives.
  • Develop scenario models and provide financial analysis to evaluate strategic expansion options.
  • Identify and drive efficiencies across the organisation to improve profitability.
  • Play an integral role in positioning the company for its next phase of growth by supporting commercial proposals, providing key insight, metrics and data for decision support purposes.

Profile

A Successful Financial Controller Should Have/ Be

  • Fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Proven experience in construction preferred
  • Strong knowledge of cashflow management, CIS and CVR processes
  • Experience of Xero preferred
  • Strong levels of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel are essential
  • People management experience, including personal development reviews

Job Offer

Competitive salary ranging from £60,000 to £70,000.
