Part-Time Financial Controller

North Oxfordshire | Hybrid

3 days per week - flexibility required around month-end

£60,000 - £75,000 FTE (Pro Rata) + Bonus

Are you an experienced Financial Controller looking for a flexible role where you can genuinely make an impact?

Reporting to the CEO, you'll take ownership of the finance function within a growing SME, working closely with the leadership team to deliver accurate financial reporting, improve processes and provide commercial support across the business.

This is a hands-on role offering genuine flexibility and autonomy, ideally suited to someone who enjoys working within an entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ownership of the monthly management accounts and month end process
  • Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
  • Financial reporting and analysis
  • Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance
  • Manage relationships with external accountants and auditors
  • Lead the implementation of a new cloud-based finance system
  • Drive process improvements across the finance function
  • Business partner with the CEO and senior leadership team
  • Support wider commercial and strategic projects as the business continues to evolve

About You

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified preferred (QBE candidates with relevant experience will also be considered)
  • Previous experience operating as a Financial Controller or within a similar senior finance role
  • Strong management accounting, budgeting and forecasting experience
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on SME environment
  • Commercially minded with excellent communication skills
  • Proactive, organised and keen to make a genuine impact
