Brief overview As we enter an ambitious phase of international growth following our latest fundraise, we are seeking a proactive Financial Controller to lead our finance function. You will not only ensure operational excellence but also act as a strategic business partner, providing the financial insights needed to scale our impact globally. You will manage our great Management Accountant and also work closely with the Senior Management Team on budgeting, fundraising, reporting and process improvement. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop in a highly commercial accounting role with lots of scope to grow and expand. Responsibilities Main responsible person for all daily finance activities, owning and improving finance policies and processes to balance control with risk. There will be a range of ad hoc projects as the business grows, from process improvement to system implementation, with scope to shape both this role and finance’s interaction with the rest of the organisation as we grow. Work with & manage our great Management Accountant. They are responsible for: managing accounts payable, reconciling bank statements, pay runs; monthly payroll and weekly expenses processes. You’ll oversee and mentor them, making sure they keep growing with the business. Reporting: Preparing monthly management accounts for the Board, investors and SMT; Preparing annual consolidated statutory accounts with support from the VP Operations & Finance and external accountants; and using your analytical skills to support the wider business with reporting needs (e.g. monthly operational reports, service evaluations). Budgeting and fundraising : Supporting the CEO and VP Operations & Finance with budgeting, cashflow forecasting and fundraising; monitor spend vs budget and advise teams on available spend. Finance business partner to the SMT. Translating finance concepts and targets to non-financial stakeholders. Monitoring and managing treasury in each organisation (UK, US and AUS)

Required Experience ACA, ACCA or CIMA or equivalent qualified with 5 years PQE Startup/Scaleup experience of a fast growth environment. Proven technical accounting experience from previous roles (managing the general ledger, owning month end and owning or supporting year end processes) Experience in building and holding stakeholders to budgets and forecasts.
