Financial Controller
Location: Central London with a flexible work from home policy
Salary: £80-90k, depending on experience
Consumer Additions has partnered exclusively with a high growth £20m turnover luxury retail brand.
The Financial Controller will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function and act as the CFO’s senior finance partner.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop the Finance team
- Own the month-end close process from end to end
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow
- Support the leadership team with commercial insight across the business
- Review key cost areas including packaging, fulfilment, freight, store costs, marketing, overheads and supplier terms
- Challenge spend where appropriate and identify opportunities to improve cash, margin and profitability
- Lead preparation for year-end accounts and statutory reporting
- Prepare audit-ready schedules and respond to auditor queries
- Oversee VAT, PAYE/NIC, corporation tax, PSA/P11D, working with external advisers where required

Requirements:
- Qualified accountant
- Experience in a similar role, in retail environments
- Proven experience leading month-end management accounts
- Strong cashflow, working capital and forecasting experience
- Technically astute
- Skilled in Excel and data analysis
- Track record of managing and improving finance functions
- Proactive and commercially-minded
