Finance Manager / Controller
Brentford, West London
Salary: Up to £65,000

ENB are working with an established and growing construction services business (t/o £40m) in West London that's looking for an experienced Finance Controller to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you'll play a key role in both the day-to-day running of the finance function and the wider strategic direction of the business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys leading people, improving processes and making a real impact.

You will be leading a team of five within the finance department while working closely with the Finance Director across all areas of financial management, reporting and business improvement.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Producing accurate monthly management accounts.
- Reconciling all balance sheet accounts each month.
- Overseeing weekly payroll and client invoicing to ensure deadlines are met.
- Managing weekly supplier payment runs.
- Ensuring VAT, PAYE, CIS and Corporation Tax returns are completed accurately and on time.
- Managing bank reconciliations.
- Assisting with the annual budgeting process.
- Supporting the year end accounts and annual audit.
- Managing the fixed asset register, including the company vehicle fleet.
- Maintaining the Hire Purchase schedule and recording interest payments.
- Producing ad hoc reports and analysis for the Finance Director.
- Helping to review and improve financial processes, controls and efficiencies across the business.

We are looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership, leading a team and driving continuous improvement.
Ideally you will have:
- Previous experience as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or in a senior finance position.
- Experience leading or managing a finance team.
- ACCA or CIMA qualification (or be actively studying towards qualification).
- Strong Excel skills.
- Excellent technical accounting knowledge.
- Experience using Sage 50 Cloud (advantageous but not essential).
