Financial Controller
Poole/ Hybrid working
£60,000 + benefits
Grafton Banks Finance is working with a growing SME manufacturing business, based near Poole, to recruit a new Financial Controller.
This business is Private Equity based and is growing organically. This Financial Controller role will be pivotal in supporting the CFO as the business grows. The role will lead month end accounting and financial reporting and will drive the implementation of improved processes and controls.
This role will suit a qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience accountant who is experienced in broad and hands on roles in SME businesses. Experience in manufacturing or stock-based businesses is advantageous as is experience of either Sage 50 or 200. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, who is inquisitive, and who enjoys taking ownership of their role.

Key tasks:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting packs for the management team, and board.
- Support in preparation of draft year-end statutory accounts.
- Assist CFO to actively manage operating working capital.
- Production of cash flow forecast in absence of CFO.
- Maintenance of month end reconciliations.
- Preparation of quarterly commission reports.
- Support the commercial process on things like pricing, customer cost to serve analysis, as well as any other ad hoc tasks.
- Processing of the payroll.

Salary:
£60,000 + benefits
Working Arrangement:
Hybrid working with 2 days per week in the offices. Our client will also consider candidates looking to work a 4 day week.
Notice Period:
Ideally the successful applicant will be on 1 month's notice or less.
