Role Overview
This unique role will see you working directly for a diversified and successful VC firm supporting a broad spectrum of Finance Control, and associated activities. You'll get involved in budgeting, forecasting, accounting, banking, treasury management, fund reporting, due diligence, regulatory compliance, and payroll.
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Prepare and own the annual budget for each group entity, consolidating for group-level review with the Partners
- Produce rolling cash flow forecasts across the LLP group and active SPVs, flagging funding shortfalls or surplus cash ahead of time
- Run monthly budget vs actual variance analysis, with commentary for Partners on material movements
- Model management fee and revenue forecasts by reference to AUM, fund lifecycle stage and deal pipeline
- Maintain a rolling 12–24 month financial plan for the advisory business, updated quarterly
Accounting and Financial Administration
- Own the month-end and year-end close process for the group companies
- Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts in Xero across all group entities, ensuring consistent coding and cost allocation
- Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) for Partner review
- Prepare or oversee preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors through the annual audit
- Maintain LLP members' capital accounts, profit allocations and current accounts in line with each LLP agreement
- Manage intercompany recharges and cost-sharing arrangements between the LLP entities and SPVs
- Oversee accruals, prepayments, fixed asset register and balance sheet reconciliations
- Coordinate VAT returns and corporation/partnership tax filings with external tax advisers
- Maintain robust financial controls and documented processes across all entities

Banking and Treasury Management
- Manage day-to-day banking relationships and signatory arrangements across multiple accounts for the LLP group and SPVs
- Monitor cash positions daily/weekly to ensure sufficient liquidity for operating costs, capital calls and distributions
- Process and authorise supplier payments, expense reimbursements and member drawings within approved controls
- Coordinate the mechanics of capital calls and distributions to/from LPs and co-investors, working with fund administrators
- Manage foreign exchange exposure arising from multi-currency fund and SPV structures
- Perform or review bank reconciliations for all group bank accounts
- Maintain and periodically review the group's treasury policy, including counterparty risk on cash deposits
Fund Reporting
- Coordinate preparation of quarterly and annual LP reporting packs across managed funds and SPVs
- Assist with NAV calculations in conjunction with third-party fund administrators, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Assist with capital account statements and capital call/distribution notices for investors
- Respond to ad hoc investor due diligence and reporting queries
- Aggregate portfolio company financial data to support quarterly valuations and investor reporting
HR Administration, Contracts, and Payroll
- Oversee/operate monthly payroll processing for employees and LLP member drawings across group entities
- Prepare and manage employment contracts, offer letters and onboarding documentation
- Ensure pension auto-enrolment compliance and administration of workplace pension schemes
- Administer employee benefits (private medical) and manage renewals with providers
- Assist in maintenance of HR policies, the employee handbook and personnel records in line with UK employment law

Financial Due Diligence Support
- Assist deal teams and Partners with financial due diligence on prospective investments, including review of historical financial statements and quality of earnings
- Support analysis of target business models, revenue drivers, margin structure and working capital dynamics
- Review and sense-check management accounts, forecasts and financial models provided by targets
- Help identify financial risks, adjustments and red flags to feed into investment committee papers
- Assist with external due diligence advisers (accounting, tax, commercial) and coordinate information requests
- Support post-completion financial integration and monitoring of portfolio company reporting
Regulatory Compliance
- Support FCA regulatory reporting obligations for the advisory entities (e.g. annual compliance and monthly RegteQ submissions, financial resources and capital adequacy monitoring)
- Ensure timely Companies House filings, confirmation statements and maintenance of the PSC register for group entities
- Manage LLP-specific statutory filings and record-keeping requirements
- Coordinate any FATCA/CRS reporting for SPV entities
- Support GDPR/data protection compliance in relation to financial and HR records
- Monitor compliance with relevant health & safety and employment law obligations
