Financial Controller
What you'll be doing:
We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Controller to oversee the day-to-day finance operations of Iomart’s Cloud Services business unit. This is a pivotal role within the Group, forming part of the senior management team and directly influencing strategic and operational decision-making.
You will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely management accounts, forecasting and budgeting, driving performance insights, and ensuring robust financial controls across the business unit covering c£100m of Group revenue.
In addition, you will:
Prepare monthly Executive Packs for business unit management and Group reporting. Own divisional P&L, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Group reporting standards. Oversee monthly close processes, financial controls, and ensuring segregation of duties. Prepare budgets and rolling forecasts, monitor performance, and report variances with actionable insights. Identify cost efficiencies and implement process improvements. Manage data centre CAPEX budget and spend, collaborating with stakeholders to develop business cases. Be involved in the transformation to a new finance system Support half-year and year-end audit processes. Mentor and develop staff within the finance function

We want to hear from you if you:
Are a qualified accountant with at least 5 years’ post qualification experience Have a proven track record in translating complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial teams and senior leadership Can demonstrate experience in a recurring revenue business model Have a strong track record in cost control, efficiency improvements, and driving continuous process enhancements Have solid systems knowledge, with exposure to upgrades and process improvement projects (Microsoft Dynamics / Business Central advantageous) Are confident working with large and complex data sets
