Broster Buchanan are excited to be partnering with a renowned organisation based in Milton Keynes who are looking to hire a Financial Controller to join their impressive finance team.
Type: Full time, Permanent
Location: Milton Keynes
Package: £80,000 - £100,000 + Competitive benefits (inc. bonus, Car Allowance)
This is a genuinely broad role with full ownership of financial control, reporting and governance. It will suit someone who enjoys being hands-on, while also playing a key role in strengthening processes, supporting decision-making, and leading a small team. Someone who is ambitious and has career aspirations to step into a Finance Director (or similar) level role in the near future.
The Role
You’ll take responsibility for the overall financial control environment, ensuring reporting is accurate, deadlines are met, and robust controls are in place.

Alongside this, you’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business, providing insight and helping to drive continuous improvement.
Day-to-day, This Will Include
- Leading month-end and year-end close
- Owning financial and statutory reporting
- Maintaining strong balance sheet control
- Managing the audit process and compliance requirements
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow
- Driving improvements to controls, processes and reporting
- Partnering with the wider business to support performance
About you:
We’re looking for a technically strong Financial Controller, ideally someone who has trained in practice (Big 4 or Top 10), or brings an equivalent level of technical grounding.

You’ll be a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with a solid background in financial reporting and control. A strong understanding of UK GAAP, with some exposure to other reporting frameworks such as US GAAP, would be beneficial. In addition, you'll ideally have previous experience working on SAP S/4 HANA, Oracle, NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
Just as importantly, you’ll bring clear leadership capability - someone who can develop a team, build relationships across the business, and operate with confidence in a senior role.
