Financial Controller
Location: Northamptonshire (Office Based)
Salary: £70,000 - £80,000
We are recruiting on behalf of a growing business for a commercially focused Financial Controller. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business at an exciting stage of its growth journey, with genuine progression potential and exposure to strategic decision-making.
Reporting directly to the Executive Directors, you will take ownership of financial control, reporting, and governance, while also driving systems improvements and supporting operational performance across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all financial control activities and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.
- Produce monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with statutory and tax requirements.
- Support year-end audits and attend board meetings in an advisory capacity.
- Develop and monitor key financial and operational KPIs.
- Drive improvements to ERP and finance systems, reporting, and processes.
- Partner with operational and commercial teams to improve business performance and efficiency.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and support strategic business decisions.

About You
- Qualified Chartered Accountant or finalist nearing completion.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or trading environment.
- Strong understanding of management accounts, cash flow, balance sheets, credit control, and ledgers.
- Commercially minded with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ambitious, inquisitive, and keen to progress into a senior leadership role.
- Comfortable in a hands-on manufacturing environment and able to build credibility across the business.
