Alexander Daniels are working with an established and growing organisation operating within a regulated environment in seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to provide immediate support during a key period of change and development.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring someone who can quickly assess priorities, strengthen financial controls, and deliver accurate financial reporting while supporting senior stakeholders with commercial and strategic insight.
The successful candidate will be available at short notice and comfortable stepping into a fast-paced business, adding value from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the production of accurate monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management activities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, statutory requirements and regulatory obligations.
- Review and enhance financial controls, processes and governance frameworks.
- Manage the year-end audit process and maintain relationships with external auditors and financial partners.
- Provide meaningful financial analysis and recommendations to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Lead, mentor and support the finance team, driving performance and continuous improvement.
- Partner with senior leadership to identify efficiencies and support business objectives.

About You
- Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant.
- Proven track record as a Financial Controller, Head of Finance or senior finance professional.
- Strong experience of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and internal controls.
- Comfortable operating in regulated, multi-site or service-led environments.
- Able to quickly understand business operations and implement improvements.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience using ERP and accounting systems.
- Available immediately or at short notice.
