Financial Controller

Start date: ASAP
Salary: Competitive
Office Location: Nottingham City Centre

A Financial Controller will play a pivotal role within our finance team. In this position, you will assist with all aspects of financial accounting, from daily transactional activities to month-end reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who is eager to build hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the existing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Support with the budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Process and review financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Assist with VAT returns, bank reconciliations, and payroll queries.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure smooth and efficient financial operations.
  • Work closely with senior finance professionals to drive continuous improvement in financial systems and processes.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by management.

Required Skills:

  • A recently qualified accountant (Level 6 – BSc) / ACCA/CIMA level 7)
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
