Financial Controller Role
Butler Rose is supporting an established international business who are looking to appoint an experienced Financial Controller to lead their UK finance function and play a key role in supporting both local and overseas leadership.
This is a broad, hands-on position suited to someone with strong controllership skills who enjoys combining technical finance, commercial insight, and team leadership. You will take ownership of the financial reporting cycle, maintain a robust control environment, and provide clear, meaningful analysis to support business decisions.
Key areas of responsibility will include:
- Leading month-end, year-end, and statutory reporting
- Maintaining strong financial controls and balance sheet integrity
- Providing costing, margin, and performance analysis
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Working closely with operational and senior stakeholders
- Managing and developing a finance team
- Supporting Group reporting requirements to an overseas parent company
- Improving finance processes, systems, and reporting

Person Specification:
- ACCA/ACA/CIMA accountant with 5+ PQE within fast-paced environments
- Strong ERP system experience would be advantageous, particularly SAP.
- Experience working within an international business, given the overseas reporting structure.
- A background in manufacturing or engineering would be beneficial, although candidates from other sectors will be considered where they can demonstrate strong controllership and costing experience.
