Financial Controller - Travel Sector
£75,000 + benefits (negotiable)
Hertfordshire | Hybrid
Our client is a well-established UK travel organisation, looking to appoint a Financial Controller.
About the Role
Reporting into the Finance Director, this is an opportunity to step into a broad and highly visible leadership role, taking ownership of the finance function while helping shape the future direction of the business.
Working alongside the senior leadership team, you'll lead a small finance team, oversee all financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, improve systems and processes and play a key role in commercial decision making.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a finance team of three
- Own monthly management accounts and Board reporting
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and cashflow
- Manage audit, statutory accounts and tax compliance
- Oversee treasury and foreign currency management
- Improve finance systems and reporting (Business Central)
- Business partner senior stakeholders across the organisation
- Drive process improvements and automation
About You
We're looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with previous Financial Controller experience within the travel sector.

You'll ideally have experience of:
- Tour Operator accounting
- TOMS VAT
- ABTA / CAA reporting
- Multi-currency finance
- Leading finance teams
- Business Central (advantageous)
