Financial Controller
£85,000 - £95,000 + bonus + benefits

Financial Controller opportunity to join a fast-growing, technology-led international business. This is a highly visible leadership role within the finance function, offering the chance to take ownership of the group cost base, lead a talented team, and play a key role in strengthening financial controls and supporting continued global growth.
Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, you will be responsible for financial control, statutory compliance, reporting, process improvement, and team development across multiple entities and regions.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Control & Reporting
- Own the Group's non-payroll cost P&L.
- Deliver detailed month-end reporting, variance analysis, and management insights.
- Prepare high-quality reporting packs and commentary for senior leadership.
- Support project accounting and ad-hoc commercial analysis.
Month-End & Financial Close
- Lead the month-end close process across multiple entities.
- Ensure reporting is accurate, timely, and delivered to stakeholders across the business.
- Drive continuous improvements in finance processes and reporting cycles.

Statutory, Tax & Audit
- Oversee statutory reporting, audits, tax compliance, and regulatory submissions across group entities.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and advisors.
- Ensure strong governance and compliance standards are maintained.
Controls & Process Improvement
- Support the development of a robust financial control environment.
- Drive automation and process improvement initiatives.
- Assist with strengthening internal controls and compliance frameworks.
- Partner with the wider finance team on business-wide finance transformation projects.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of finance professionals.
- Build capability within the team and support career progression.
- Promote a high-performance, collaborative culture focused on continuous improvement.
Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted adviser to stakeholders across the organisation.
- Provide financial guidance and challenge to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with finance and non-finance teams to improve business performance and cost control.

About You
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- Currently operating at Financial Controller, Assistant Financial Controller, Senior Finance Manager, or equivalent level.
- Experience within a high-growth, scaling business environment.
- Strong technical accounting and financial control expertise.
- Experience managing multi-entity accounts and complex group structures.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven people management experience with a passion for developing teams.
- Advanced Excel skills; exposure to modern ERP and reporting systems is advantageous.
