Job Title: Financial Controller/ Head of Finance – PE owned business - Ealing

Experience Level: 8–12 years’ experience (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
Location: Ealing
Salary: DOE

We are a dynamic, fast-growing business currently undergoing an exciting phase of scale and transformation. As we look to the future, we are seeking a high-calibre financial professional to join us as Financial Controller. This is not just a standard controllership; it is a strategic stepping stone designed for an ambitious individual ready to transition into the No. 1 finance role.

The Opportunity

This is a pivotal hire for the business. You will act as a key commercial partner to the leadership team, ensuring our financial infrastructure keeps pace with our aggressive growth trajectory.

A core pillar of your initial 12–18 months will be leading a complete overhaul of our current financial systems, culminating in a financial system implementation. If you thrive on driving change, building robust processes from scratch, and positioning a business for scale, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Transformation & Overhaul: Evaluate, select, and lead the implementation of a new, scalable financial system. Review and re-engineer existing financial workflows, controls, and processes to maximize efficiency.
  • Financial Leadership: Take full ownership of the day-to-day finance function, managing financial reporting, statutory accounts, tax compliance, and cash flow management.
  • Strategic Growth Support: Partner closely with the executive team to provide commercial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and data-driven insights to support scaling initiatives.
  • Team Development: Mentor, upskill, and grow the existing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and high performance.
  • Succession Planning: Work towards transitioning into the top finance seat, gradually taking on broader strategic responsibilities as the company expands.

About You (The Ideal Candidate)

  • Experience: 8 to 12 years experience (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with a proven track record of career progression.
  • Academics: Stellar academic background is essential (Top-tier university degree and strong school-level results).
  • System Savvy: Direct experience with financial system implementations, data migrations, or substantial process overhauls is highly desirable.
  • Ambition & Drive: You are a high-potential individual who is hungry for a "No. 1" role. You don't just want to maintain a system; you want to build one.
  • Commercial Mindset: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business strategies for non-finance stakeholders.
